ACCIDENTAL VIEWPOINTS

This project is about seeing everyday objects from new vantage points in order to capture a perspecive not usually experienced.

Normally we experience the visual world as stable and unambiguous. Objects appear fixed, familiar, and self-evident. This is because the mind constructs practical representations of reality, allowing us to navigate the world efficiently. Yet there is another, equally possible state of reality: the rarely encountered perspective of an object. Hidden within every object are viewpoints that seldom coincide with our own. By altering our position in space, we can briefly align with these overlooked perspectives and observe forms, relationships, and dimensions that are usually invisible.
